Register for an appointment at Ithaca's Breastfeeding Clinic, now with a sliding scale of $5-$20, which you can choose to pay when registering above! Get answers to your breastfeeding questions, weigh your baby, check in on latch, and get quick one-on-one lactation support from trained lactation professionals. Come for the weekly New Mom's Group, which is every Wednesday from 12:00pm-2:00pm and stay for the clinic! You'll meet other new mothers with similar joys and concerns. We meet in the Jillian’s Drawers Community Room on select days each month, with up to four families. Providers include Sara Pruce CBE, CBC, Jess Evett, CLC, and Summer Killian, RN, IBCLC. The clinic provides supportive care designed to support your unique infant feeding goals. During our time together, we can observe feedings; answer questions about milk supply, tongue tie, return to work, latch, nipple pain and damage, weight gain, sleep; and strategize on common challenges. The clinic is hands-off (no oral exams or other hands-on support) and referrals to health care providers, local IBCLCs, or other support may be made as needed. We encourage all families to explore peer-to-peer support options in our community, including La Leche League. Depending on the needs of each clinic’s participants, we may provide one-on-one or small group support. No family will be turned away for cost. Drop in welcomed but registered participants will receive priority. Please bring your baby or toddler! Partners and support people welcomed. We may use the space creatively to meet privacy needs if fathers are present. All care is LGBTQIA sensitive.
